Porsche 911 GT2 RS sets production car record at Road Atlanta
The GT2 RS was piloted by Randy Pobst for the record-setting lap.
Porsche is celebrating a track record for the 911 GT2 RS, raising the benchmark for production cars at the Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.
Piloted by Randy Pobst, the GT2 RS lapped the 2.54-mile track in just 1:24.88 minutes.
The milestone represents the third production-car record set by the GT2 RS. Pobst previously set top times with the car at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca and Willow Springs last year.
Porsche says the record-breaking laps were taken on road-legal Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R N0 tires and validated by Racelogic via telemetry and video utilizing the Vbox Video HD2 system.
