New York: 2019 Ram Heavy Duty Kentucky Derby Edition

The Derby Edition is packed with trailer-towing upgrades.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is celebrating the 145th running of the Kentucky Derby with the 2019 Ram Heavy Duty 2500/3500 Limited Kentucky Derby Edition.

Geared for equestrian use, the pickup is loaded with all of Ram's latest trailer-towing upgrades including a 360-degree camera with reverse guidance, fifth-wheel prep, active hitch grid lines, air suspension with bed lowering, and trailer braking, among other features.

Based on the Limited trim, the Derby Edition also features a 12-inch infotainment system, power-retracting running boards, premium full-leather seats, and genuine wood and metal trim.

The exterior has been visually enhanced with an exclusive billet-appearance grille and body-color bumpers.

The Ram Heavy Duty can be purchased with a 6.7-liter Cummins turbodiesel mill with 1,000 pound-feet of torque, bringing towing capacity up to 35,100 pounds.

The Kentucky Derby Edition starts at $68,585 (including freight) for the Ram 2500 variant. Production will be limited to just 1,000 units.
