Spied: Subaru Impreza WRX STI

Following on the heels of an official teaser image released by Subaru earlier today, spy photographers have spotted a nearly undisguised Impreza WRX STI lapping the Nürburgring. The spy shots confirm the WRX STI will have a large hood scoop, budging fenders and will wear a unique front bumper.

The new photos also reveal that the newest STI will have quad-exhaust and a rear diffuser. Overall, the STI treatment gives the Impreza a much more aggressive look.

Subaru has yet to release engine specs on the car, but it is expected that the STI will use a turbocharged boxer engine rated at 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. The Subaru Impreza WRX STI is set to debut at next month's Tokyo Motor Show.
