Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line

Volkswagen has unveiled its Tiguan R-Line concept at the Essen Motor Show. Based on VW's new small SUV, the R-Line version is intended to give crossover a bit more of a sporting side. The package includes new front and rear bumpers, wider fender flares, a new grille, 19 inch wheels and unique R-badging.

Unlike other R models -- such as the Golf R32 -- VW will leave the Tiguan's engine bay as it, with the top engine being a 2.0L TSI unit.

Pricing remains unknown, but the Tiguan R-Line should be available in UK showrooms in the summer of 2008.
