Buyers snatching up Aston Martin One-77

Aston Martin has already sold 60 of the One-77 supercars planned for production.

The global economy may still be in a bit of a rut, but Aston Martin isn't having any problems selling its near $2 million One-77 supercar. Of the 77 One-77s slated for production, Aston Martin has already sold 60.

With just 17 more units left to shift, Aston Martin is taking the One-77 on an Asian selling tour. Along the way, the One-77 will make stops at potential customers in Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei and China.

Interestingly, about half of all One-77 buyers have also placed orders for Aston Martin's Toyota iQ-based Cygnet city car - most of which in matching colors. Aston Martin hasn't revealed official pricing for the Cygnet, but the two-seater is expected to carry a price tag in the $30,000-$40,000 range.

One-77 buyers do get a lot for the price of entry, including the world's most powerful naturally aspirated engine - a 7.3L V12 generating 740 horsepower.
