To do that, a 283 horsepower V6 was added, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, and the entire suspension geometry was re-engineered for a sporty feel.

Also changed were the tires, swapped for a "premium" set, and the steering system was also re-worked for a better response and improved feedback from the road for drivers.

Inside the Journey, standard content on the R/T model includes a unique red and black cloth interior with six-way power driver seat with lumbar control, four-way power front passenger seat, three-zone automatic temperature control, leather-wrapped steering wheel and a shifter knob with red accent stitching. The R/T also features the latest vehicle connectivity and customization from the Chrysler Group with the new PowerNet electrical architecture, Uconnect Touch with an 8.4-inch screen, CD/DVD/MP3/Sirius satellite radio, six premium speakers with subwoofer and amplifier and Uconnect phone.

The all-new Uconnect Touch media center allows for navigation,voice-command music selections and the ability to check fuel prices and weather.
