LIVE: Shelby shows off revised 2013 GT350 in Pebble Beach
The 2013 GT350 is available in all Ford Mustang factory colors.
Shelby is showing off the 2013 GT350 at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. One of the biggest changes for the 2013 model year is that the sports car is now available in all factory Ford Mustang colors.
Also, the GT350 is newly available with a choice of either satin black or gloss white accent stripes, a combination Shelby says it hasn't offered on a car in more than 40 years.
In addition, the 2013 GT350 gains a new wheel design that's available in either silver or black. Rounding out the cosmetic changes, Shelby will now include throwback-style GT350 badges with its Mustang-based sports car.
The GT350's 5.0-liter V8 remains available in either 430 horsepower (naturally aspirated) or 525 or 624 horsepower (supercharged) configurations. New additions for 2013 include an optional cold air intake kit for the naturally aspirated model (which ups power to 450 ponies), a one-piece driveshaft, uprated brakes, additional cooling and a color-coordinated billet aluminum engine cap set.
Shelby plans to build 350 2013 GT350s at its skunkworks in Las Vegas. Although the GT350 is a post-title vehicle, brand new Mustangs are dropped shipped from Ford's Flat Rock, Michigan, assembly plant to Shelby's shop near Las Vegas Motor Speedway. On top of the price of a standard Mustang GT, the GT350 package adds $26,995 (naturally aspirated) or $33,995 (supercharged).
