Updated 2014 Chevrolet Camaro to bow in NY
Chevrolet will lift the sheet on a new Camaro in New York.
Chevrolet has announced it will unveil an updated 2014 Camaro at the upcoming New York Auto Show. The Camaro will be one of five global debuts for General Motors at the New York show.
As always, details surrounding the Camaro's refresh remain a closely-guarded secret, but Chevy promises the 2014 version of the pony car will boast advances in its "design and performance attributes.”
That means the Camaro is probably in line for a slight nip and tuck, but we don't expect any major changes as an all-new model is just a few years out. Powertrains should carryover, although previous rumors suggest Chevrolet is working on an LS7-powered version of the Camaro.
Our spy photographers spotted a Camaro prototype (pictured) earlier this year that could have been a testbed for the new model. That mystery Camaro, which was spied in Michigan, sported a revised front grille and an exhaust system borrowed from the mighty ZL1.
The 2014 Camaro will be joined on the New York stage by updated versions of the Buick LaCrosse and Regal. GM's all-new Chevrolet SS and Cadillac CTS are also scheduled to make their world debuts in NY.
