Colorado's first Hellcat hits tree near dealership
The driver failed to negotiate a slight curve on a 40-mph stretch of road a few miles from the showroom.
The first Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat delivered in Colorado has reportedly been destroyed just a few miles from the showroom.
Images posted by TFLcar are said to show the wrecked car and the accident spot, around a bend in a 40-mph area. One picture notably frames the skid marks going past a "please drive carefully" sign that memorializes two victims from previous accidents.
"The driver lost control to the right, then overcorrected and lost control to the left, and struck a tree head on," the police report notes. "Drugs or alcohol were not involved. There was no mention of excessive speeding."
The 34-year-old driver is presumably not happy to have already lost his 707-horsepower muscle car in what appears to be a foolish accident, however he and two passengers can be thankful to have walked away without any serious injuries.
