Porsche opens $100 million experience center
Porsche fans have a new destination.
Porsche has officially opened the doors to its $100 million experience center and headquarters just outside of Atlanta, Georgia.
Representing Porsche's largest ever investment outside of Germany, the 27-acre experience center promises to become a mecca for any Porsche enthusiast. In addition to 13,000 square feet of conference and event space, the facility also boasts an off-road track, classic car gallery, restoration center and a 1.6-mile driver development track. The center even features a high-end restaurant called Restaurant 356 in a nod to the company's first production model.
"Our vision for our new home was to create a bold, energizing environment here in Atlanta to demonstrate the unique capabilities of our sports cars,” said Detlev von Platen, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America. "The experience center coupled with our headquarters is truly the first of its kind in the automotive industry where we welcome employees, partners, customers and enthusiasts alike.”
Porsche expects about 30,000 enthusiasts to make the trek to the center each year.
The headquarters for Porsche Cars North America has been in Atlanta since 1998.
