Rezvani Tank X gets 1,000-hp Demon V8

The Jeep Wrangler-based SUV starts at $349,000.

California-based Coachbuilder Rezvani has revealed an updated version of its wild Tank SUV.

Based on the Jeep Wrangler, the latest Tank X is powered by the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon's supercharged 6.2-liter V8. It has been tuned to deliver 1,000 horsepower and 870 pound-feet of torque.

The "offroad supercar" has received a few exterior adjustments, rounding off the back and front ends to smooth out the faceted box appearance of the original. The same styling changes are featured with the basic Tank configuration, powered by a 500-horsepower V8, and the armored Military Edition.

Buyers can choose from a few different off-road packages, including a six-inch lift kit, along with other upgrades such as a $5,500 FLIR thermal vision system and a $12,500 Focal audio system.

The Tank X starts at $349,000, more than double the price of the 500-horsepower base model and 10 times higher than the Wrangler. The flagship model is presumably aimed at buyers who want something a bit more attention-grabbing than a Lamborghini Urus.
