Sony reveals Vision S concept car
The prototype integrates Sony's imaging and sensing technologies.
Sony has made a surprising automotive debut, revealing the Vision S concept car at CES alongside the company's traditional bevy of new televisions and gaming gear.
The Vision S highlights Sony's imaging and sensing technologies, integrating nearly three dozen sensors including the latest CMOS and ToF technology.
The prototype also serves as a test platform for the company's AI, telecommunication and cloud technologies, along with entertainment features including "360 Reality Audio" and a massive panoramic infotainment screen.
The Japanese electronics giant is unlikely to put the Vision S into production. Instead, the company will presumably continue to use the prototype as a development tool for technologies that will be supplied to the automotive industry.
