Geneva LIVE: Alfa Romeo Tonale Concept

The concept previews Alfa's first plug-in hybrid.

Alfa Romeo has debuted the Tonale Concept today in Geneva, previewing the brand's first plug-in hybrid.

The compact crossover shares its design language with the larger Stelvio, with thinner LED-array headlights and a large lower grille that spans the width of the front fascia.

The futuristic styling is balanced with retro design elements including Alfa Romeo's characteristic phone-dial wheel, borrowed from the 33 Stradale of the 1960s.

The interior has been outfitted with a large 10.25-inch touchscreen for the central head unit and a 12.3-inch full digital instrument cluster. The cabin focuses on premium materials ranging from aluminum to Alcantara and leather.

The company has not yet announced technical details or a launch window for the Tonale's production.
