1,160hp Aston Martin Valkyrie makes public debut

The dynamic outing occurred over the weekend.

Aston Martin's upcoming Valkyrie supercar made its public debut over the weekend at the 2019 British Grand Prix. Billed as the "world's most extreme road car,” the Valkyrie is the result of a partnership between Aston Martin and Red Bull racing.

Aston Martin High Performance Test Driver Chris Goodwin took the Valkyrie for a few leisurely laps around Silverstone raceway. Goodwin wasn't trying to set any records with the hyper car, although the Valkyrie would certainly be up to the task.

The Valkyrie is powered by a 6.5L V12 paired with a KERS hybrid system that generates 1,160 horsepower. The Valkyries is also extremely lightweight and shares many aerodynamic properties with a Formula One car.

Aston Martin is planning to build just 150 units of the Valkyrie, all of which have already been spoken for. Deliveries are scheduled to begin during the fourth quarter of this year.
