Aston Martin DB10 unveiled for next James Bond movie

Designed for the big screen, the DB10 previews Aston\'s next design language.

Aston Martin and London-based EON Productions have teamed up to introduce a new limited-edition sports car dubbed DB10. The DB10 was designed specifically to star in Spectre, the 24th film in the iconic James Bond series.

Roughly the same size as a V8 Vantage, Aston's latest coupe stands out from the company's current models thanks to an evolutionary design characterized by headlights that are sharper and thinner, a larger rendition of the automaker's trademarked radiator grille and a lower nose. A series of small holes drilled through the hood presumably help cool the mill that lies underneath.

Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer revealed that just 10 examples of the DB10 will be produced. When it will go on sale and how much each one will cost is up in the air.

More information about the Aston Martin DB10 will be published over the next few weeks. We expect to see the car in the metal at the Geneva Motor Show next March, and it will make its cinema debut when Spectre is released on November 6th, 2015.

What's Next? The DB10 is more than merely a wildly expensive limited-edition model designed for the big screen. Aston executives are not shy about admitting that the coupe gives an accurate preview of the design language that will influence all of the automaker's upcoming models over the next couple of years.
