Aston Martin previews new Vantage Roadster
The coupe's AMG-sourced V8 presumably carries over with 503 horsepower.
Aston Martin has posted the first photos of its upcoming Vantage Roadster in prototype form.
The convertible will presumably be powered by the same AMG-sourced 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with 503 horsepower and 505 pound-feet of torque. A bit of extra weight will likely put the drop-top edition only slightly behind the hardtop's 3.6-second benchmark from zero to 62 mph.
Aston Martin has not announced official technical specifications, nor additional details such as pricing. The Vantage Roadster should command a premium over the coupe's $149,995 base price.
Order books will open spring 2020, suggesting a formal debut is scheduled within the next few months.
