Audi debuts 2020 A7 Sportback 55 e quattro plug-in hybrid
The sedan can cruise for up to 25 miles on battery power alone.
Audi has introduced a new plug-in hybrid, the A7 Sportback 55 e quattro.
The e-quattro is powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 248 horsepower and an electric motor with 141 horsepower, providing a combined output of 362 horses and 369 pound-feet of torque delivered to all four wheels.
The system motivates the sleek sedan to 62 mph in 5.7 seconds, with a limited top speed of 155 mph.A 14.1-kWh battery module is capable of running for up to 25 miles on electricity alone. The range spec was calculated using the WLTP test cycle, likely equivalent to around 22 miles according to EPA standards in the US market.
The PHEV is shown configured with Audi's S-line exterior styling, 19-inch wheels, and Matrix LED headlights.
Audi plans to sell the A7 Sportback 55 e quattro for the equivalent of around $85,000 in its home market. The company has not announced any details of a potential US launch.
