Audi considers A6 Allroad return to US market
The company hasn't officially made a final decision, however.
Audi is reportedly considering bringing the A6 Allroad back to the US market after a 15-year hiatus.
Rumors have hinted at the possibility of a US-bound A6 Allroad for many years, however the speculation has not yet come to fruition.
Speaking to Car and Driver, a spokesperson has now confirmed that Audi is seriously considering launching its latest-generation ruggedized A6 in US showrooms, though a final decision has yet to be made.
An American model would presumably drop the EU-spec 3.0-liter diesel in favor of a turbocharged gasoline V6 that powers the current A6. The engine delivers 335 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque.
If the A6 Allroad does come to the US, it will likely carry a starting price above $60,000.
