Audi A6 Allroad confirmed for US return?
The company is expected to make an official announcement in the near future.
Audi has reportedly finalized plans to bring the A6 Allroad back into the US market.
The rugged wagon's return to America has been rumored for several years. The company recently confirmed plans to launch the RS 6 Avant on this side of the pond, apparently kicking off a broader expansion of its US wagon lineup.
Automobile claims several top Audi executives, including technical development head Oliver Hoffman, have told the magazine that the latest A6 Allroad will be coming to US showrooms.
The wagon will presumably ditch its range of Europe-focused diesel powertrains in favor of a single gasoline engine, presumably the 3.0-liter turbo V6 that delivers 335 horsepower in the A6 sedan.
The company is said to be nearing an official announcement after it finalizes pricing and a few other details.
