Audi shows e-tron GT concept ahead of LA debut

The A7-like fastback sedan will eventually join Audi's e-tron crossovers.

Audi has released the first official photos of the e-tron GT concept ahead of its formal unveiling tomorrow at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

The images confirm the GT will be low and wide, with a fastback profile similar to the slightly less sporty A7, though the camouflage wrap obscures some of its final details. 

It is unclear if the GT will drop its camo for its public appearance in LA. Recent reports suggest the car will enter production essentially unchanged from the concept.

The GT is expected to be built on the Porsche Taycan's platform, with a slightly larger battery and a zero-to-62 mph sprint in less than four seconds.
