Audi teases e-tron GT concept ahead of LA reveal [Video]

The all-electric sedan is expected to be built on the Porsche Taycan's platform.

Audi has released another teaser for its forthcoming e-tron GT concept, scheduled to make its official debut later this week in Los Angeles.

The sedan is billed as an all-electric sports car, apparently a bit sportier than the traditionally powered A7 that shares a similar silhouette.

Technical details have not been announced, though a Bild report suggests the GT will be built upon the Porsche Taycan's platform. It is expected to be powered by a 100-kWh battery with more than 250 miles of range.

The Tesla Model S rival is said to be capable of launching from zero to 62 mph in less than four seconds, presumably slightly behind the Taycan's mid-three-second benchmark.

The Porsche-badged flagship will land on the market late next year, while the Audi e-tron GT is said to be slated for 2020. The Los Angeles debut will show the car in concept form, however Bild claims the overall design will be left "almost unchanged" for production.
