Bentley Continental GT V8 gets new engine, improved fuel efficiency
The GT V8 Coupe can hit 60 mph in 3.9 seconds.
Bentley has updated its Continental GT Coupe and GT Convertible with a new powertrain.
The new GT variants are equipped with 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, producing 542 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque. Range has been extended to more than 500 miles on a single tank.
The V8 powerplant provides enough motivation to accelerate the coupe to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds and eventually top out at 198 mph. The convertible is a tenth of a second slower to 60 mph.
Aside from the new engine, both cars feature unique 20-inch 10-spoke painted alloy wheels and V8 badging. Buyers can choose other wheels up to 22 inches, with a range of exterior colors and interior upholstery configurations.
Pricing will presumably be announced closer to the Continental GT V8's Q3 arrival in US showrooms.
