Paris: 2020 BMW 3 Series
The all-new 3 Series is nearly three inches longer than its predecessor, with a longer wheelbase and wider track.
BMW has revealed the all-new 2020 3 Series at the Paris Motor Show.
The seventh-generation model is larger than the outgoing sedan, stretching by nearly three inches in length. Its wheelbase and track width have also grown.
Despite the bigger footprint, the new 3 Series is slightly lighter than its predecessor and boasts a sleeker body with an improved drag coefficient.
The new 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine in the 330i trim delivers 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, an improvement of seven ponies and 37 pound-feet of twist thanks to a revised turbo and other tweaks.
The M340i and M340i xDrive will receive an updated inline six with 382 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, good for a zero-to-60 mph sprint in 4.2 seconds.
The 330i variants will arrive in showrooms by March 2019, ahead of the M340i in the spring and a 330e by 2020.
