BMW developing electric i7S with 670 horsepower?
A 120-kWh battery is expected to deliver 360 miles of range.
BMW is reportedly working on a pair of all-electric 7 Series variants including a flagship i7S model.
Sources have told BMWBlog the i7S will integrate a massive 120-kWh battery with an electric range of around 360 miles according to the WLTP cycle, which could equate to approximately 340 miles for an EPA rating.
The performance-focused model is said to have about 670 horsepower, presumably delivered to all four wheels. Acceleration to 60 mph will likely be in the low- to mid-three-second range.
The German automaker is also said to be developing a basic i7 sedan with a smaller 100-kWh battery and around 550 horsepower.
The report follows rumors of an M Performance plug-in hybrid in the 7 Series range. Both the PHEV and pure battery-powered EV may be a few years away, however.
