BMW confirms M8 Gran Coupe debut in LA
The standard 8 Series Gran Coupe is slated to arrive in showrooms next month.
BMW has announced plans to reveal the M8 Gran Coupe at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
The sleek four-door range-topper will presumably feature the same engine specs as the M8 Coupe and Convertible, with a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 that delivers 600 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque via BMW's performance-tuned all-wheel-drive system.
A Competition package bumps output to 617 ponies and adds an upgraded exhaust, stiffer suspension and other enhancements.
The Gran Coupe is presumably a bit heftier than the two-door body styles, though its zero-to-60 mph benchmark should still be in the low-three-second range.
Spy shots captured earlier this year provide a glimpse at the M8 Gran Coupe's overall form. More details could surface ahead of the official debut.
