The Chiron received aerodynamic modifications and special tires.
Bugatti is celebrating a record speed run, modifying the Chiron to break the 300-mph barrier.
Described as "near production" specification, the prototype reached 304.773 mph on a test track in Germany.
"We're overjoyed to be the first manufacturer ever to have achieved a speed of more than 300 miles per hour," says Bugatti president Stephan Winkelmann. "It's a milestone for eternity. I would like to thank the whole team and driver Andy Wallace for this outstanding performance."
