2017 Buick Cascada gets red paint option, appearance package
Buick is refining its Cascada line for 2017.
Buick is rolling out a sporty new color option for its Cascada convertible. The new hue, a vibrant red known as Sport Red, will be accompanied by a newly available Dark Effects Package.
Buick says it decided to introduce the new color after it received strong consumer demand for a red paint option. The Sport Red option, which is available exclusively on the Cascada Sport Touring model, can be paired with a new Dark Effects Package that adds gloss black accents on the car's grille, mirror caps and 20-inch wheels. Interior enhancements include red stitching on the Cascada's seats, doors and instrument panel.
"We've heard it from customers all year: ‘What a beautiful car. Can I get it in red?' Well yes, now you can,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global Buick Sales, Service and Marketing. "This new addition to the Cascada portfolio offers a modern style statement with blacked-out exterior trim and red interior stitching.”
The Sport Red paint color will be available in limited quantities, with only 150 units set to hit the market in February. However, Buick left the door open to producing more red Cascadas if the demand is there.
So far this year Buick has delivered 5,796 units of the Cascada, all of which went to retail customers.
