Spied: 2020 Cadillac XT6

Cadillac will finally get a three-row crossover.

Cadillac's upcoming three-row crossover utility vehicle has been spotted undergoing shakedown testing near Detroit. Due out in 2020, the seven-passenger CUV is expected to be called XT6.

The Cadillac XT6 will be based on General Motors' C1XX platform, which currently underpins the Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Enclave. The XT6 will likely come with front-wheel drive in base form, while all-wheel drive will be an available option.

The Cadillac XT6 is expected to be powered by a naturally-aspirated 3.6L V6 with at least 310 horsepower. The XT6 will utilize GM's latest nine-speed automatic transmission.

On the styling front, the XT6 should follow the general design of the XT5 and recently unveiled XT4. However, the XT6 will obviously be longer than those vehicles, so expect to see a few more flowing lines.

The 2020 Cadillac XT6 could make an appearance at this year's LA auto show before going on sale sometime in 2019.
