2020 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible to debut on October 2
The drop-top edition has already appeared in a teaser video.
General Motors has confirmed plans to reveal the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible on October 2.
The C8-generation convertible has already appeared in previous teaser videos. The coupe's rear windshield has been swapped for a solid panel with a pair of nacelles behind the seats.
The coupe already provides a targa top that can be stowed in the trunk for a more open-air experience, albeit not as streamlined as the true convertible edition.
Unofficial specs suggest the retractable top will carry a weight penalty of around 100 pounds.
The company has not yet announced when the convertible will go on sale, nor its base price.
