Chevy Camaro gets fresh face, Turbo 1LE trim

The refresh brings distinct front-end styling for the LS/LT, RS and SS models.

General Motors has revealed the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro, a mid-cycle update with a revised appearance and new package options.

Designers have tweaked the front end to create distinct differences between the LS/LT, RS and SS variants, including the fascia, grill and LED headlamps.

The SS-specific front fascia features a 'flowtie' open bowtie grille emblem and larger air curtains, with package-specific headlights and a new extractor-style hood.

The lesser RS appearance package includes a unique polished black grille with Galvano Chrome lower inserts, an LED signature bar, 20-inch wheels and a special rear fascia.

The company has also introduced a Turbo 1LE edition, joining the V6 1LE, SS 1LE and ZL1 1LE track-focused packages. The new additional includes upgraded suspension, staggered summer tires, Brembo brakes and a 2.0-liter engine with 275 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque.

The 2019 lineup benefits from GM's latest infotainment systems, with optional rear camera mirror and forward collision alert.

The company has also updated its Chevy Cruze, Malibu and Spark for the 2019 model year.
