Chevy Camaro gets Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary package
The commemorative edition features a unique orange and black theme, along with plenty of distinctive badges.
General Motors has revealed the 2018 Camaro Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary Edition.
Both the Camaro nameplate and Hot Wheels brand are roughly the same age, dating back to 1967 and 1968, respectively.
"In the 1960s Hot Wheels and Camaro challenged vehicle design by elevating the speed, power and performance of both die-cast and pony cars alike," says Hot Wheels senior VP Chris Down. "For 50 years, both brands have developed high-performance cars that embody the challenger spirit."
The commemorative Camaro features a unique orange and black color theme with Satin Graphite ground effects, stripes and 20-inch wheels. The grille and wheels feature special inserts, complementing distinctive 50th Anniversary Hot Wheels badges on the fenders.
The theme continues throughout the interior with Jet Black leather and orange inserts and contrast stitching. Anniversary badges can be found on the steering wheel and illuminated doorsill plates.
The Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary Edition is available on 2LT and 2SS coupe and convertible models, fetching a $4,995 premium and available by the first quarter of 2018.
