Dodge to put final Viper, Demon on the block for charity

The final 2017 Viper and 2018 Demon head to Barrett-Jackson Northeast.

The final production examples of the Dodge Viper and Dodge Challenger SRT Demon will be auctioned off for charity, FCA announced late Thursday, ending the legacies of two of the company's most powerful and iconic performance cars the same they (like many others) began.

Billed as "The Ultimate Last Chance," the items in the lot have been coordinated for a little extra collector appeal. Both vehicles are finished in Viper Red and feature several special touches.

The final Viper (VIN 731948) includes an authentication kit along with a special instrument panel plaque.

The Demon has a black interior (matching the Viper as its exterior does); the optional passenger seat; the rear seat delete and trunk carpet kit options; a custom Demon car cover; an instrument panel VIN plaque and authentication kit (like the Viper's); and (perhaps most importantly) the "Demon Crate" trunk kit, which includes all the fun bits necessary to transform the ultimate street machine into a strip-ready drag beast.

The two will be auctioned as a pair at Barrett-Jackson Northeast this June, with proceeds benefiting the United Way. Dodge made the announcement at this week's Barrett-Jackson auction in West Palm Beach, FL.
