Ferrari shows F8 Spider
The new drop-top model replaces the 488 Spider.
Ferrari has revealed the F8 Spider, the latest drop-top powered by the company's venerable mid-rear-mounted V8.
Serving as a successor to the 488 Spider, the F8 Spider's turbocharged engine delivers 711 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque. The car can hit 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds, 124 mph in 8.2 seconds and eventually a top speed of 211 mph.
The company's retractable hardtop can be actuated in 14 seconds at speeds up to 28 mph.The new convertible F8 is more powerful than its predecessor and engineered for higher downforce, yet improves overall aerodynamic efficiency.
The F8 Spider will slot below the more extreme 488 Pista Spider.
