Geneva LIVE: Ferrari reveals F8 Tributo with 710 horsepower

The new model replaces the 488 GTB, adding more power and improved aerodynamics.

Ferrari has announced the F8 Tributo, a new mid-rear engined car serving as a replacement for the 488 GTB.

Engineers have reworked the company's 3.9-liter turbocharged V8 to deliver 710 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque "without the slightest hint of turbo lag."

Shedding nearly 100 pounds from the 488 GTB's weight, the Tributo launches to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds and eventually hits 211 mph.

Ferrari says the new model also provides even better control at the limit and improved occupant comfort. Aerodynamic efficiency has increased by 10 percent, with a redesigned S-Duct that contributes to higher downforce.

The F8 Tributo will make its first public appearance next week in Geneva.
