Paris LIVE: Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta
The Aperta is a convertible version of the Ferrari LaFerrari.
Ferrari has unveiled a convertible version of its LaFerrari super car at the Paris Motor Show.
Ditching Ferrari's typical "Spyder” nomenclature, the open top version of the LaFerrari is referred to as the Aperta. Ferrari says it will build just 209 examples of the LaFerrari Aperta; 200 of those will be sold to customers while nine will be held back to be used on tour to celebrate Ferrari's 70th anniversary.
Despite arriving sans roof, Ferrari says the LaFerrari Aperta maintains the aerodynamics and structural rigidity of the LaFerrari coupe. Likewise, the Aperta makes use of the regular LaFerrari's drivetrain, netting 949 horsepower and 663 lb-ft of torque from the V12-hybrid combo.
Ferrari hasn't publicly announced pricing for the LaFerrari Aperta, but we can safely assume the final price tag is north of $1 million. That seven-figure price tag hasn't impacted sales, with all 200 units of the LaFerrari Aperta already spoken for.
