Next-gen Ford F-150 to arrive before Bronco?
A report claims Ford's roadmap shows a new Explorer followed by the F-Series, then finally the Bronco.
Ford is reportedly preparing to update a few of its core models before bringing the revived Bronco into showrooms.
A product roadmap obtained by Off-Road shows a new Explorer followed by a redesigned F-150, then finally the Bronco.
Ford has not backed away from its promise to deliver the Bronco in 2020. The Explorer is already expected to make an imminent debut as early as January in Detroit, while the new F-150 could be revealed later in the year.
The Blue Oval is experiencing a sales slump this year, with a 7.3 percent drop in November and a nearly three percent slide for the first 11 months of the year. Rival Fiat Chrysler Automobiles reported huge gains in November, thanks to strong demand for Ram and Jeep.
Quickly launching a new Explorer and F-150 -- America's best-selling nameplate -- will give Ford a better chance at returning to positive growth next year.
