Ford Expedition King Ranch edition returns for 2020 model year
The range-topper starts at nearly $73,000.
The Ford Expedition King Ranch edition has returned to the lineup for the 2020 model year.
Following the same format as the previous Expedition King Ranch, which debuted in 2005, the SUV has been outfitted with a plush interior and a few exterior enhancements.
Outside, Stone Gray paint adorns the grille mesh, retractable running boards, rear skid plate and other accents. The package also features massive 22-inch six-spoke wheels with a two-tone painted finish.
Premium Del Rio leather can be found throughout the interior, starting with all three seating rows and extending to the door trim and steering wheel. Ziricote wood veneer complements the upholstery, along with the King Ranch 'Running W' logo on each seat back. The second-row seats are power-folding, tip-and-slide captain's chairs with perforated inserts.
The Expedition has been a strong seller lately with sales up by 56 percent in the first eight months of the year. Ford says the majority of buyers opt for a premium trim level, with the top-end Platinum package accounting for around 20 percent of sales.
The King Ranch starts at $72,895, commanding a significant premium of more than $24,000 above the Expedition's base price.
