Ford F-150 to get off-road Tremor package?
The Tremor name was recently revived for the Super Duty lineup.
Ford is reportedly considering an off-road Tremor package for its F-150 pickup.
The Tremor name was originally introduced in 2013 for a street-focused F-150 with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 and appearance upgrades. It was revived earlier this year for a more rugged F-250 and F-350 Super Duty variant (pictured) with special suspension and drivetrain components.
Sources now tell Ford Authority that the Super Duty's Tremor package may trickle down to the standard-duty F-150. If true, the package could get massive 35-inch tires, lifted suspension, a limited-slip front differential, and several other off-road upgrades.
The F-150 Tremor would essentially be positioned as more of a rock crawler than the Raptor. Sources suggest the package has not yet received a final green-light, however.
