Ford highlights Yakima accessories for new Ranger

Add-on gear includes bed racks, kayak carriers and even tents.

Ford has revealed a range of Yakima accessories for the Ranger's return to the US market.

Customers will be able to add a BedRock truck bed rack, compatible with Yakima's SkyRise rooftop tent, or a BaseLine tower and JetStream crossbar cab rack that can be outfitted with a basket or awning.

A LongArm bed extender effectively stretches the bed length by up to four feet via a hitch-mounted rack, while a GateKeeper tailgate pad protects both the vehicle and its cargo.

The accessories will be available as soon as the Ranger lands in showrooms early next year.
