Ford offers leveling suspension kit for Ranger, F-150
The off-road upgrade features Fox shocks with a two-inch lift.
Ford Performance Parts is now offering its first after-purchase leveling suspension kits for the Ranger and F-150.
The upgrade includes specially-tuned off-road Fox shocks, new front coilover springs, upper mounts with polyurethane bushings, and a two-inch front lift to level the truck from front to rear.
The Ranger gets a 21-percent gain in approach angle and a 10-percent increase in breakover angle, while the F-150 with a 145-inch wheelbase benefits from a 22-percent steeper approach angle and seven-percent higher breakover angle.
Ford says the kit was tuned for high-speed desert driving in Borrego, California, and slower rock-crawling in Arizona.
The upgrade is available for any four-wheel-drive F-150 or Ranger and can be purchased for $1,495 before installation.
