Ford Ranger gets blacked-out appearance package

The majority of Rangers are being purchased with appearance packages.

Ford has wasted no time launching a blacked-out appearance package for the new Ranger.

The package features various dark body elements including the grille, 18-inch gloss wheels, running boards, bed liner, fender vent surrounds and mirrors, among other components.

The Ranger Black Appearance Package is available for $1,995 and will begin rolling off the production line early this summer.

Ford says more than two-thirds of Ranger buyers are already opting for an appearance upgrade, either the Sport kit with unique wheels and Magnetic Gray accents or the Chrome package with bright chrome wheels and shiny accents.
