Honda CR-V gets slight price bump for 2020

Increasing by $600, the base model is now equipped with a more powerful turbocharged engine as standard equipment.

Honda has announced pricing details for the 2020 CR-V, which benefits from the company's 1.5-liter turbo engine as standard equipment across the lineup.

The base model now fetches $26,145 (including $1,095 freight), an increase of $600 over the outgoing LX trim, which had been powered by a naturally aspirated 2.4-liter engine with 184 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque.
The standard turbocharged mill features a slight increase to 190 horsepower. Torque is down slightly to 179 pound-feet but is available across a wider curve from 2,000 to 5,000 rpm versus 180 pound-feet at 3,900 rpm for the 2.4-liter powerplant.
The LX model also benefits from standard Honda Sensing safety and assistance technologies. The suite includes automatic emergency braking with forward-collision warning and pedestrian detection, along with road departure mitigation, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control with low-speed following and lane-keeping assist.
Stepping up to the LX AWD edition brings the price to $27,645, while the flagship Touring AWD package commands $35,845.The CR-V stakes a claim as the best-selling crossover in the US over the past 22 years, with cumulative sales of more than five million units.
