Hyundai delivers first US-bound Kona Electric in Maryland

Hyundai is celebrating the first Kona Electric delivery in the US market.
the all-electric crossover was handed over to Donald Small, director of pediatric oncology at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
The Kona Electric is one of the early entries in an expected wave of long-range EVs with mass-market price tags from established automakers. The crossover can travel for up to 258 miles on a single charge.
General Motors recently admitted it is at least a few years away from making any money from EVs, apparently confirming the Chevrolet Bolt is being sold at a loss. Hyundai has not disclosed specific production numbers for the Kona Electric, though it would not be surprising if availability remains relatively limited if the crossover is not yet profitable.
