Infiniti shows next-gen infotainment system
The revamped InTouch will support over-the-air updates, but only for the infotainment system itself.
Infiniti has revealed its next-generation InTouch infotainment system, due to begin rolling out for the 2020 model year.
The updated technology provides support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with Wi-Fi hotspot extending to seven devices inside the vehicle. It also features improved maps with a 3D city view, along with Google-sourced destinations, street-view and satellite overlays.
The system also adds the ability to receive over-the-air updates. Any software changes will be limited to the infotainment hardware itself, however, rather than encompassing other control modules.
The new dual-screen InTouch tech will arrive first for the Q50, Q60, QX50 and QX80.
