Jaguar recalls I-Pace to fix regenerative braking glitch
A regen system failure can cause a delay between brake pedal application and deceleration.
Jaguar has issued a recall for the 2019-2020 I-Pace to fix a problem with the regenerative braking system.
The company warns that an electric failure with the regenerative braking system can cause a delay between brake pedal application and when the vehicle begins to decelerate.
"A delay in deceleration, increases the distance needed to stop and the risk of a crash," the recall notice says.
The issue was apparently identified by engineers involved in validation testing for the 2021-model-year I-Pace.
Approximately 3,000 vehicles will receive a software update to reduce the potential braking delay.
