Beijing LIVE: Jaguar XFL

Longer XF will be sold exclusively in China.

Jaguar's new long-wheelbase XF has made its debut in Beijing, boasting the tagline, "As good to be driven in as it is to drive."

Long-wheelbase executive cars are popular in the market, so Jag's entry is not at all unexpected. The XFL boasts a 5.5-inch longer wheelbase than the base XF, which translates to more than six inches of additional legroom and more than four inches of kneeroom.

Elsewhere, the XFL does most of the stuff you'd expect from a Jaguar while also putting the expected emphasis on the rear cabin. Available options include folding rear tables; heated, ventilated and massaging rear seats; a rear-seat entertainment system with WiFi hotspot; a 17-speaker premium audio system and power side window sunshades.

Under the hood, offerings from the standard XF are available, from the 200-horsepower base engine to the 340-horsepower supercharged 3.0L V6. All models are rear-drivers with a standard eight-speed automatic gearbox.

Jaguar also announced that this will be the first model produced at the new Chery Jaguar Land Rover facility in Changshu.
