Jeep Gladiator Launch Edition sells out in just one day
The special-edition pickup is limited to 4,190 units.
The Jeep Gladiator Launch Edition is apparently a hot item, selling out in just one day.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles allocated 4,190 units, all available for pre-order yesterday on the so-called "Jeep 4x4 Day" via a dedicated concierge website.
All buyers are now eligible to enter a contest to win "one year's salary" worth $100,000. Participants must submit a video featuring their personal Gladiator.
The Launch Edition features a unique forged aluminum tailgate badge, gloss black wheels, 33-inch all-terrain tires, a wrapped instrument panel and black leather seats with red accent stitching. The pickup is powered by FCA's 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic or six-speed manual gearbox.
The Gladiator begins arriving in US showrooms later this spring.
