Humvee builder reveals Jeep Gladiator XMT concept
The pickup has been transformed into a light tactical vehicle.
AM General has teamed with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles to build the Jeep Gladiator XMT concept, converting the pickup into a light tactical truck for military use.
The pickup has been stripped down, swapping its solid doors for Mopar's tube-steel alternatives. AM General has also added a more rugged bumper, winch, and off-road tires, along with communications gear.
The Gladiator XMT will be presented to potential customers across the globe, billed as a personnel transport carrier or a command-and-control truck with a choice between gasoline or diesel powertrains.
If AM General finds any buyers, the XMT can enter production as early as the second half of 2020.
