When the 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited was brand new, I was 15 years old. Sadly, this meant I was robbed of the opportunity to own, or even drive, a brand new example of the world's fastest production SUV.

But luckily for me, some kind caretaker has been babying a 5.9 Limited since the day they bought it new in 1998. And for reasons unknown, that person, after 21 years and just 41,000 miles of caring ownership, decided to trade that 5.9 Limited in at a Jeep dealership for a brand new Grand Cherokee.

Miraculously, I was presented with the chance to own a brand new 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited, even if it was 21 years after its stamped build date. So I took it.

And I'm happy to report, the ownership experience has not disappointed. I love everything about the 5.9 Limited -- the looks, the sound and especially the old school comfort. It's truly a lovely vehicle and I can't thank the original owner enough for giving the opportunity to relive my teenage years as an adult.
