Kia teases next-gen Optima
The redesigned sedan has been previewed as the next K5 for Korea.
Kia has released a teaser image for the next-generation K5 in Korea, previewing an updated Optima for the US market.
The redesigned sedan will receive a new headlight design with a double-arch DRL strip on the outer edge. The front end also appears to integrate a wider tiger-nose grille and a larger lower opening.
The new lighting design carries to the rear, with a thinner LED strip that runs nearly the entire width of the trunk.
Inside, Kia has loaded the K5 with plenty of digital screens including the instrument cluster and a new infotainment display with a wider aspect ratio. The interior also has a more upscale look with more metallic accents than the current Optima.
The revamped K5 will be officially unveiled in December for Korea. The company has not mentioned timing for its US arrival, however.
